Ondelle gaat over iets intiems.

Wie is verantwoordelijk

Aankopen

Betalingen lopen via Apple.

Privacy Policy

Ondelle · last updated 16 August 2026

Ondelle is about something intimate. So it matters that you know exactly what the app stores, and what your partner can and cannot see.

Who is responsible

Ondelle is made and published by TH Concepts, a sole proprietorship based in the Netherlands. Questions about this policy can go to apps@th-concepts.nl.

No account, but there is storage

You don't create an account: no email address, no password, no username. On first launch the app quietly creates an anonymous user and a random number for the two of you. Everything below hangs off that number. We cannot tie it to a person — we don't know who you are.

That number is kept in your device's keychain (iCloud Keychain on iPhone), so your purchases and progress survive a new phone.

What stays on your phone

These never leave the device. They live in the app's own storage, and go neither to us nor to anyone else:

On a new phone these are gone and you fill them in again. That is the price of not keeping them with us, and we think it is worth paying.

What does reach us

Our servers hold one document per couple. It contains:

So there is no name in it, no age, and no preference.

The preferences list

Before the later chapters open, each of you separately fills in a short list of what is and isn't welcome. That is the most sensitive thing the app handles, which is why we don't keep it at all:

Your purchases and progress do carry over to a new phone; those hang off the couple number.

What we do count

To learn which challenges land, we keep a tally. One tally is a cell in a table with a number in it, for example: blindfold · yes · age band 30-39 · man/woman · August 2026 · 412 times. We do the same with the thumbs per challenge, and with the age band someone falls in — so how many users are between thirty and forty, never how old anyone is.

There is no couple number with it, no user number, and no timestamp finer than the month. The answers themselves stay on your phone; what we keep is the sum, and that cannot be traced back to a person.

Because those tallies contain nothing that points at you, we cannot find them again afterwards either. They stay when you have your data deleted — by then there is nothing left that belongs to you.

Where it is stored

The data sits with Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication and Functions), in data centres inside the European Union. Google processes it solely on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.

Some of it sits only on your own device: the names, the pronouns, the ages, your couple number, the answers to the preferences list and the challenges you write yourselves.

Purchases

Payments go through Apple. We see no payment details: no name, no address, no card number. To know which chapters you own we use RevenueCat, which receives a confirmation from Apple and ties it to your couple number. RevenueCat gets no name or email address from us either.

What the app does not do

How long we keep it

For as long as you use the app. There's a button in the app that throws it all away: Your data in the library, then Delete our data. That wipes the couple document on our side and everything on your device — the names, the ages and the preferences list. It happens immediately and it is final. Only the tallies stay: there is nothing in them that points at you, so there is no way to find them either.

Deleting only the app from your device leaves the data in place — that is exactly what makes a new phone work again.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to processing. Deleting you do yourself, in the app — you don't need us for that. For the rest: because there is no account we can't recognise you by an email address; what we need is your couple number, which the app shows under Your data. Email apps@th-concepts.nl and we'll take it from there. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Children

Ondelle is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over. The app asks for both partners' ages on first launch and blocks use if either is younger. Nothing is kept about a minor except the fact that the app is blocked.

App Store statistics

Apple provides us with aggregated figures about downloads and the like. Those figures are anonymous and cannot be traced to a person; we receive them from Apple and do not collect them ourselves.

Changes

If the way the app works changes such that this policy no longer holds, we update this page and the date at the top.
